Where to check for changes
Use packages/python/CHANGELOG.md for Python, packages/typescript/CHANGELOG.md for TypeScript, and packages/mcp/CHANGELOG.md for MCP. Confirm the corresponding PyPI or npm release before installation.
Use the repository changelog for shared contracts, generation, architecture, CI, agent-skill, and repository-level work. GitHub Releases can provide signed release context, but registry and package changelog status should also be checked.
Review before upgrading
Compare runtime requirements, normalized result fields, local validation, input handling, error types, retry policy, trusted origins, and security guidance. For MCP, also compare environment variables, path checks, tools, structuredContent, and concurrency limits.
Run contract tests for scored, rejected, error, timeout, rate-limit, and unknown outcomes. Confirm that a release does not change billability handling, retry ownership, or a downstream decision without review.
